The Mudhens summer youth clinic is back at Whitaker Field for its twelfth year — six weeks of hitting, fielding, pitching and base-running instruction for players ages 7 to 14, coached by Mudhens players and staff. Registration is open now and groups fill every summer, so early sign-up is recommended.

How it works

Players are grouped by age and experience, with a maximum twelve-to-one player-to-coach ratio. Mornings cover fundamentals — stance, footwork, throwing mechanics — and afternoons are live scrimmages on the same diamond the senior nine plays on Friday nights. Every camper gets a Mudhens cap, a skills report card and a ticket to a home game.

"My son came through the clinic at nine and made varsity at sixteen. They teach the game the right way — and the kids have a blast." — Tony Reyes, youth coach

Dates and cost

Sessions run Monday to Thursday, 9 AM to noon, across two three-week blocks starting July 6. Full-clinic tuition is $120 including the cap and game ticket; sibling discounts apply. Loaner gloves are available at no charge — no child is turned away for lack of equipment.

To register a player or ask about scholarships, send us a message and the clinic staff will reply within two business days.
